- The general international model bs5205 4-1/2-inch band saw is ETL-certified and offers 3 speeds. Engineered for cutting ferrous and non-ferrous metals with speed, efficiency and durability. A solid cast iron saw head frame and vise that opens to 6-inch (150 mm). Featuring a heavy duty steel stand with tool shelf plus wheels and handle for easy transport. The bs5205 has a vise that swivels up to 45 degrees, as well as a throat depth of five-inch , enabling you to gain more flexibility and control over each project. The mitre gauge allows 90 degree to 45 degree cuts. You can set the speed at 80, 120, and 180-feet per minute (24, 36.5 And 55 m/min), whichever best suits your materials and job. For added durability and longevity, the saw features a ball bearing-supported blade wheel, fully adjustable ball-bearing blade guides, and a heat-treated and ground steel worm gear with bronze drive gear. Its 1/2 HP motor can easily cut through aluminum to steel. Band sawing produces uniform cutting action as a result of an evenly distributed tooth load. Includes a 2 year limited warranty.
